What services do MathPro provide?
MathPro provides traditional One-on-One tutoring services to students and adult learners from Gr.4 to second year university levels. We also provide assistance to mathematics and sciences related uprade courses from SAIT, Mount Royal and Chinook College.

Why should I choose MathPro?
We provide the best centralized tutoring services in Calgary. In year 2009, we helped 148 students by providing more than 1100 sessions.

Why centralized tutoring?
While other agencies, especially those that send tutors out to students' homes or public places, operate under the owners' basements, we actually have a team of support staff in our centralized office in Calgary North West to further education. Check their websites. Most do not list any addresses because they are basement operations. At MathPro, we invite you to check out our facility. We are true professionals, not someone who answers your call in their basements, sending out tutors who they don't know.

What are the qualifications of your tutors?
We have a large variety of tutors with different teaching styles and qualifications available. All tutors, regardless of qualifications, must undergo internal written assessment before commencing employment. Some tutors are working professionals (i.e., chemists, engineers or geologists) with at least undergraduate degrees while others are students working toward their degrees. We also have current teachers with teaching licenses. But all tutors must undergo written assessments with no exception.

Why does MathPro refuse to provide in-home services?
Although it is more profitable to operate an in-home service due lower overhead, the answer is rather simple - the best tutors do not travel and distracted students learn best in a controlled setting. At MathPro, classes are arranged back to back and we have the volume to pair compatible students with suitable tutors based on personality and learning style. It saves tutors valuable time and they enjoy their work. To students, the benefits are obvious. Happy tutors produce happy students. In the school year 2009-2010, we have yet to lose a tutor, and none have been let go due to unsatisfactory performances. It speaks volume to our tutor screening process. To cut cost, many agencies never meet their tutors in person before sending them out to clients.

Why does MathPro refuse to provide on-line tutoring?
Again, the answer is simple - it is generally an ineffectively way of learning. Students are often distracted online. Try asking teenagers not to check Facebook while online. In an online setting, you never know who the tutor is and students are assigned with whoever is available. It is like calling a Call Center to inquire about insurance. We prefer the One-on-One human experience. I am sure you do too if you give us a try, guaranteed.

How do you communicate with parents and monitor progress?
How are tutors held accountable?
We are the only tutoring agency to provide weekly online progress report to informs parents and students of concerns and report progress weekly. If necessary, we will call you directly. It can only be done in a centralized setting. No other agencies provide frequent updates because they do not want you to hold them accountable. All communications can be done electronically through our member’s only interactive website.

How long is the commitment?
Our fee structure only requires a commitment of four sessions. If you are not satisfied with our service, simply renew on the fourth session. We do not charge beyond four sessions. Why buy what you don't need? Short-term commitments also act as constant reminds to tutors that they must add value to students' education; keeping them hard at work.

Would I get the same tutor every time?
Yes. You will have the same tutor every single time. That's a promise.

If I am not happy with my assigned tutor, can I switch to another?
Yes. It had not happened in such a long time. If tutors are not adding value to students' educaiton, we would not have over 100 regular students, none are tied with long-term contract.

Is MathPro a franchise?
No. We are not a franchisee. MathPro is a local owned business since 2002. We do not transfer 5% to 15% of your dollars to hold the franchise. Instead, we are able to pay tutors higher than market wages to keep the best tutors available.
